Hello! I am having trouble with my HP Office Jet 250 Mobile All in One. I set it up weeks ago and successfully printed several things. Today I received the error message "Printer Error: There is a problem with your printer. Turn the printer off, then on." I have done this several times as well as all recommended troubleshooting options including resetting my Wifi router. I cannot get rid of the error message or look at any other menu options. The wifi also seems to be disconnected, but I can't do anything with the error message present. Please help - thank you!!

Hi @jbusch9,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the printer error.
If your HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One printer is stuck on the error message "Printer Error: There is a problem with your printer. Turn the printer off, then on," and restarting the printer and other troubleshooting steps have not resolved the issue, you can try the following more in-depth troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Perform a Power Reset
Turn Off the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer.
Unplug the Printer:
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
Wait for a Minute:
- Wait at least 60 seconds to ensure a complete power reset.
Plug In and Turn On:
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
- Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.
Step 2: Check for Paper Jams
Open All Accessible Doors:
- Open the printer's front and rear access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
Remove Any Jammed Paper:
- If you find any jammed paper, gently remove it to avoid tearing. Ensure there are no small pieces left inside.
Close All Doors:
- Close all access doors securely and try turning the printer on again.
Step 3: Check Ink Cartridges
Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove the ink cartridges and check for any obstructions or ink leaks.
- Reinsert the ink cartridges firmly into their slots.
Clean Ink Cartridge Contacts:
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges and inside the printer.
Reinstall Ink Cartridges:
- Reinstall the ink cartridges and close the access door.
Kindly check the next set of steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hello! Thank you for your response - I followed these steps but the problem is not solved. I cannot complete step 5 because the error message will not clear to allow me to click things on the screen. The home button, back button, and question mark button do not work. I just purchased new ink for the printer but I can't insert it due to this error message. Please help! Thank you!
