Hello, I have fiber through Brightspeed (formerly CenturyLink) and so I have a CenturyLink C4000XG modem/router combo. I have been running into the problems that I am seeing everywhere online with my HP printer not connecting to the WiFi. I previously had my own router hooked up, but it was not achieving the speeds I should be so I switched back to CenturyLink's default modem/router, for now. But in doing so, my printer has disconnected and I cannot connect it to save the life of me.

Please save me trouble and DO NOT send me any links on the steps to "Restore Network Settings" and reconnect through the touchscreen - that DOES NOT WORK; I have tried this literally dozens of times now.

I actually did get the printer to connect when I left the router as the default SSID and password, but that is not practical. I have sense changed the name of the SSID and the password, and the printer will not connect to either the 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz bands.

Any suggestions are appreciated greatly.

Hello Elohi,

So, this issue actually resolved itself hours later. I did nothing different at all when setting it up. For some reason, the printer decided to actually connect to my router after entering the custom SSID (mine did not show up) and entering the password - though, I had done that several times before, so not sure what changed.
