My printer is well connected to wifi. From the computer on Windows 10. we can see the printer and can start printing. All of the jobs seems to have print, even the test print from HP Smart didn't print. However, for each print request, the printer is prepared, but it does nothing and there is no message either on the computer, or on the printer itself to help me (seems like the printer have print but no print coming out and nothin in the quew. I should point out that I can print from my IPad and from my phone. the printer's status report mentions that everything is ok.
Waiting for help, my best regards

Hi @Lulu1962,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is connected to Wi-Fi and can print from mobile devices but not from your Windows 10 computer, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:
1. Restart Devices:
- Restart both your printer and your computer. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
2. Check Printer Status:
- Ensure the printer is online. You can do this by going to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners on your Windows 10 computer and checking if the printer status is set to "Ready."
3. Set as Default Printer:
- Make sure your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is set as the default printer:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Find your printer, click on it, and select Manage.
- Click Set as default.
4. Clear Print Queue:
- Sometimes, a stuck job in the print queue can cause issues. Clear the print queue:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select See what's printing.
- In the print queue window, click on Printer in the menu and select Cancel All Documents.
5. Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure you have the latest drivers for your printer:
- Visit the HP support page and download the latest drivers for your model.
6. Run the Printer Troubleshooter:
- Windows has a built-in printer troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Printer and run the troubleshooter.
7. Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
- Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block printer connections. Temporarily disable them to see if that resolves the issue.
8. Reinstall the Printer:
- If the problem persists, try removing and reinstalling the printer:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer and click Remove device.
- Add the printer again by selecting Add a printer or scanner.
9. Use HP Smart App:
- If you haven't already, try using the HP Smart app to manage your printer. It may help you identify any issues.
10. Check for Windows Updates:
- Make sure your Windows 10 is fully updated:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
