Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I'm trying to get my OfficeJet working on my new Windows 11 computer and I can't get anything to print. I've run all the troubelshooters and it's found no issues but nothing prints.  The only interesting tidbit is that when I run HP Smart it lists the computer as "ready" (green check mark) but when I click on Print Documents I get the following message.

I have tried uninstalling the printer and reinstalling but no luck. It now tells me that the driver is unavailable. Is it possible that there could be no functional Windows 11 driver for this printer??

Basically, the troubleshooters gave up and pointed me here 🙂

Oh, the printer works fine on my other machines.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting the printer driver issues, and I am glad to assist you.

Did you uninstall the printer driver from the root level before installing the new driver?

If not, follow these steps:-

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install the printer using the HP Smart app

Keep me posted.
