@Andrea661, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I'm here to help you get your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e back up and running. Let's go through a few steps to identify and resolve the issue.

Step 1: Identify the Problem

Please check and let us know:

  • Are there any error messages on the printer screen or HP Smart app?
  • Is the printer not turning on, not printing, or showing a specific error (e.g., paper jam, ink issue)?
  • Are you using it via USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet?

Step 2: Basic Troubleshooting

Here are some general steps that resolve most issues:

Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in and turn it on.

Use HP Smart Diagnose & Fix (Windows/macOS)

  1. Open the HP Smart app. HP Smart
  2. Click on your printer > Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Ink and Paper

  • Ensure ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty.
  • Make sure paper is loaded correctly and not jammed.

Step 3: Reinstall or Update Printer Software

  1. Uninstall the current printer software.
  2. Download the latest version from the HP support page.

Step 4: Check Network Connection (if using Wi-Fi)

  • Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer's control panel.
  • Make sure the printer and your device are on the same Wi-Fi network.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
