Hello. Our user just bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e and she's having issue printing on it. The printer keeps showing Offline.
I tried to troubleshoot via following the steps found here:

The changing of Wifi to Public to Private works, however after few days, the issue re-occurred.

Need your expertise please. Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Officejet Pro 8310e being offline!

Since changing the Wi-Fi network from Public to Private temporarily resolved the issue, it’s possible that there may be some underlying network or software-related concerns. Let’s try a few more steps to narrow down the cause:

 

Check Printer Status and Restart

  • On your computer, open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners and make sure the printer isn’t set to Use Printer Offline.
  • Restart both your printer and router. Wait about 2 minutes after restarting to allow the network to stabilize.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues.
  • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer to check for any available updates.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Remove the printer from your computer's list of devices.
  • Download and install the latest drivers from the HP support page for the OfficeJet Pro 8130e.

Set a Static IP Address

  • Go to the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by typing the printer's IP address into a browser.
  • Under Network Settings, set a static IP address to help maintain a stable connection.

A few quick questions to help diagnose the issue better:

  1. Have you updated the printer firmware recently?
  2. Did the issue start after any network changes or software updates?
  3. When exactly does the printer go offline — during printing or after a period of inactivity?
