Hi @WildThunder,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus E-All-In-One Printer not being able to find your HP account when trying to set up the HP Print Service plug-in on Android, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions.

  • Ensure Network Connectivity:

    • Make sure your printer and Android device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is crucial for the HP Print Service plug-in to detect your printer.
  • Update HP Print Service Plug-In:

    • Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Print Service plug-in installed on your Android device. Outdated versions may have compatibility issues.
  • Reinstall HP Smart App:

    • You can try uninstalling the HP Smart app on your Android device and then reinstalling it from the Google Play Store. This may help resolve any software glitches.
  • Clear Cache and Data:

    • In your Android device's settings, go to "Apps" or "Applications," find the HP Print Service plug-in, and clear its cache and data. This can sometimes resolve issues related to the app's configuration.
  • Reboot Your Printer:

    • Turn off your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple reboot can solve connectivity issues.
  • Reset Printer Network Settings:

    • You can reset the network settings on your printer to ensure it's properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Consult your printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Check Firewall and Security Settings:

    • Verify that your router's firewall or any security settings are not blocking the communication between your printer and Android device.
  • Verify HP Account Credentials:

    • Double-check that you are using the correct HP account credentials (username and password) when setting up the HP Print Service plug-in. Ensure that your HP account is active and has no login issues.
  • Alternative Printing Methods: If you continue to face issues, you can also consider alternative printing methods, such as using HP ePrint or other mobile printing solutions, if supported by your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
