HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer

Just moved to a new home and the printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e) won't connect to the internet and says I have to log in to my account to allow it to access wifi. My HP account login information doesn't work despite my checking and double checking username and password. How do I hard reset the printer so I can get it on the correct internet again and start printing? Please help

Hi @Stephen-MicK,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer won't connect to the internet and the login information isn't working, you can try resetting the printer to restore factory settings and then attempt to reconnect to your WiFi network. Here are the detailed steps to perform a hard reset and reconnect your printer:

Steps to Hard Reset HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e:

Factory Reset the Printer:

Refer to the steps on this link to restore factory defaults.

Reconnect to WiFi Network:

  • Step 1: After resetting, go to the printer control panel.
  • Step 2: Swipe down to open the Dashboard and select the WiFi icon.
  • Step 3: Navigate to WiFi Setup Wizard.
  • Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to select your WiFi network and enter the WiFi password.

Log in to HP Account:

  • Ensure your HP account credentials are correct by logging into the HP website on a computer or mobile device.
  • You can reset your HP account password if you're experiencing login issues by visiting the HP Account Login Page.

Additional Troubleshooting:

  • Use a Wired Connection: If the printer still won't connect to WiFi, try connecting it directly to your router using an Ethernet cable.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. This can be done through the HP Smart app.

I hope this helps.
