Unable to reply to my original post, so having to try again.

I have been having issues with this printer, unable to print at times but able to at other times, I have managed to get it to work by shutting down the printer and switching back on, this usually allows me about an hour before it fails to print again. About three times I have had to completely remove the printer from the Mac settings and re-install, unfortunately the Mac can take several hours to find the printer again to be able to add it!

A colleague suggested using HP Smart, but I have been unable to get this to work or it fails and crashes the Mac on occasions.

Today I am unable to print at all.

If I go to the Mac settings and look in the "printers and scanners" section, it shows the printer as "Idle", however, when I press print on a document, this message changes to "In use" but the printer queue shows that the Mac is unable to find the printer. The document will never print and you have to eventually cancel the job.

I have opened HP Smart and selected the "add printer" option (not sure why HP Smart cannot find the printer if it is already added to the system settings), it searches for about 30 seconds and then shows an image of the printer with a Red dot and "Offline" next to it. If I click on this image, a message pops up to say that the printer must be turned on to add it. It is switched on.

Hopefully you can help to resolve. I think I need to go through the settings with someone who is an expert with the HP printer and MacOS (Ventura 13.0), ideally on Teams or Zoom so you can see what I see. Nobody has been able to fix this so far.
