My NPIC767D (HP LaserJet MFP M28w) is able to scan, but when I try to print, I am told that the printer is offline. I *think* that the NPIC767D is connected via Wi-Fi Direct, but am not sure.
Windows 10 also shows a separate printer "HP LaserJet MFP M28-31 PCLm-S (Network)", which I *suspect* is the same physical device but connected through my local Wi-Fi Access Point. I'm not 100% sure. In any case, I prefer to use the Wi-Fi Direct connection rather than going through my Access Point.
I executed "HP Printer and Scan Doctor 5.0.15" to troubleshoot my Wi-Fi Direct connection. One of the initial steps asks me for "HP printer's user ID and password". It is unclear whether this is a Windows account or an some kind of printer account. Can anyone clarify what account is being requested? I am printing from a non-administration account.
