My HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer’s touchscreen has become unresponsive only at the bottom. This prevents me from using buttons to start some of the maintenance tasks. I have tried a hard reset and power drain. And the firmware is up to date but I still have this problem.

Hi @polarrecord ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer's touchscreen is unresponsive at the bottom, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
- Clean the touchscreen: Sometimes, dirt, dust, or fingerprints can interfere with the touchscreen's responsiveness. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the touchscreen. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the screen.
- Calibrate the touchscreen: Check if there's an option in the printer's settings menu to calibrate the touchscreen. Calibration can sometimes fix responsiveness issues by recalibrating the touchscreen's sensitivity.
- Update firmware and drivers: Ensure that both the printer's firmware and any associated drivers on your computer are up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for touchscreen-related issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check for physical damage: Inspect the touchscreen for any signs of physical damage, such as cracks or scratches. Physical damage could be the cause of the unresponsiveness, and in such cases, the touchscreen may need to be replaced.
- Reset the printer to factory settings: Perform a factory reset on the printer. This will revert all settings back to their default values, potentially resolving any software-related issues causing the touchscreen problem. Be aware that this will erase any customized settings or preferences you've set on the printer.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your response!
Unfortunately my printer is still having the same problem.
I cleaned the screen and there is no damage. I also updated the firmware. I was unable to calibrate as there is no option to do that and I cannot factory reset since it won’t let me use the screen to start the reset.
Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!
