I moved my printer from my home office to my new work office. Although it initially connected to the wi-fi, it keeps requiring me to physically touch it for it to print. It's having a problem scanning now and keeps telling me it is not connected to the network. It will print but not without manual intervention

Hi @DPrinciple ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 is having trouble maintaining its connection to the Wi-Fi network, which could be causing both the scanning and printing issues.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Reboot the Printer and Network:
- Power off the printer and unplug it for 30 seconds.
- Reboot your router and modem to ensure the network is stable.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Re-Connect the Printer to the Wi-Fi:
- On the printer's control panel, go to the Wireless or Network settings and reconnect it to the Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure the printer is connected to the correct network and that the signal strength is strong.
Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check for any firmware updates by going to the HP Smart app or visiting the HP support website for the latest updates.
- Installing the latest firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Check Printer IP Address:
- Make sure the printer is assigned a static IP address on your network to avoid changes that can disrupt connectivity.
- You can find the IP address in the printer's network settings and then configure your router to reserve that IP.
Reinstall HP Smart App: HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
- If you're using the HP Smart app, uninstall it and reinstall it to ensure there are no corrupted settings.
- Once reinstalled, reconnect the printer using the app.
Reset Network Settings on the Printer:
- If the above steps don't work, you can reset the network settings on your printer:
- From the Settings menu on the printer, select Network or Wireless Settings and choose to Restore Network Defaults.
- Then, reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network.
Let me know how it goes, and we can try other troubleshooting steps if needed.
