HP Setup Not Showing Up on Wifi

Hello all, I'm trying to connect my printer to my new wifi network. However, when I go connect it to wi-fi (like the HP app tells me to) the only option I'm seeing in my wifi networks is the "DIRECT-68-HP DeskJet 3700 series" one, which is password protected. I'm not seeing any "HP Setup..." pop up. I've tried hard resetting the printer, switching my wifi to 2.4 gHZ, resetting my wifi/router, moving locations. Nothing works. I've even tried inputting the pin # which is on a sticker on the printer into the password, but nothing works. Am I out of options here?

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

1. Network restore

Use the Cancel and Wireless buttons to restore Wi-Fi setup mode.

• Press the Cancel button to ready the printer.
• Press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel button simultaneously until the Power button blinks.

Note: Your control panel might look different than the following example, but the steps are the same.
 

 

• Wait 60 seconds until the Wireless light blinks blue.
• Within two hours, return to the app or software to find and add your printer and complete the setup.

DIRECT-68-HP Deskjet 3700 series means the printer is connected to Wi-Fi Direct. If you would like to proceed using Wi-Fi Direct, we would request you to print an information page to check for the Wi-Fi Direct password else you should see it on the Network Configuration page. Please use that password and then the printer will be connected to Wi-Fi Direct.
