HP Smart says that Printer is offline when I try and scan, but it isnt

When I try and scan through HP SMart, it tells me the printer is offline, when it isnt. Printing is fine, and I can scan through my mac ( although its more longwinded)

I have read through other posts like this and so far have done:

Reset all my printers on the mac.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the HP Smart app.

Removed and rejoined the network on  both the mac and the printer.

Changed the network on both the mac and the printer ( just in case)

Printed a network config page whch shows it is ready, on wireless and connected

Forgotten and readded the printer on the HP app ( This sometimes allows me to scan one thing before deciding its offline again)

Run the Diagnose and Fix in HP Smart which tells me theres nothing wrong and prints me a pretty picture to prove it.

Any more ideas as I give up!

SOLVED IT!

It seems to be since the update of HP Smart. I clicked on the little profile icon on the top right, and logged into my HP account and now its online. Seems a bit of a ripoff to get people to create an HP account, but still its working and thats all I care about at the moment.
