May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Thank you for the information. HP Solution center has been discontinued and this model printer is not compatible with the HP Smart app.
Install the printer using Windows built-in driver for printing solution
Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.
Use the HP Scan Extended app to scan and check if that helps. (open this in Internet Explorer/Edge)
Click here to download the app.
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Thank you for your support. I tried to use HP smart to use it to scan from my printer. When I run HP Smart it says "Finding the printer" after awhile is says "printer not found". It asks me to enter the printer IP address. I provide the IP address and still unable to find printer. Then I tried your suggestion. The browser address comes back with Blank and the tab says "Untitled and the address box is "ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi".
Take your pick. I'd like to use HP Smart, but if I can scan using your suggestion that will be fine.

The HP Smart app will not work as it is not compatible with this model printer as stated in my previous post.
Did you try the steps mentioned in this document - HP Solution Center doesn't open?
If none of this helped, I'm afraid there are no other methods to scan. If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
