Earlier this week I used HP telephone technical support when I was unable to reestablish the wireless connection to my 1102w laserjet.  It possibly went missing when I upgraded to Windows 11.  I tried all the suggestions posted on the HP web site, reinstalling the driver and associated software.  When all failed, I spoke by telephone with an HP technical specialist, who tried very diligently to get my wireless connection going, using the LogMeIn software.  The technician followed all the steps I had taken with the same results.  At that point the technician said that because my printer was 10 years old, software updates would not be available to the drivers and that I needed to get a new printer.  

That was not the answer I was looking for.  A further internet search suggested that installing the driver in Windows compatibility mode might be successful.  It was!  The technician should have suggested that.  It is an easy fix and would have saved me a lot of effort.  The 1102w is an excellent printer and I expect to use it well into the future.  Thanks for your consideration.
