HP Tango
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am trying to access the locked Embedded Web Server (EWS) settings on HP Tango printer but can't find a username and password? I don't ever recall setting credentials nor can I find any information on the bottom of the printer (e.g. user name or PIN) that gets me in.

I've tried connecting directly to the printer via browser as well as through the HP Smart app. I'm able to access the EWS page but not open any of the tiles which are password protected (e.g. Wireless Set-up or Web Services). Is there a printer config page that I can print that will give me the default information?

Thank you.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you want to reset the EWS page, follow these steps:-

Restore Network Defaults to factory settings:

Press and hold (the Wi-Fi button) on the back of the printer for at least three seconds.

Login to the EWS page with the default credentials and change the password.

Username: admin

Password: "leave it blank"

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
