I have never- in my LIFE- had a printer that was this difficult to use. I can't recommend going with another company enough. This printer DOES NOT print if you disconnect from the first WiFi you set it up with- i have been trying for 3 hours! The first time I set it up was no picnic either, and I have had three friends who's IT departments told them to return the printer after trying to set it up for so long. WHAT A PAIN- at LEAST provide step by step instructions that WORK for pete's sake. I know others have experienced the same. The company really should refund us if we agree to send these pieces of cr$p back, which I would GLADLY do.

Hi @ANNNOYED13,
I'd like to help!
I understand you are unable to set the printer up over a network.
We can connect the printer with WPS
Follow the steps below to connect the printer:
If your router supports WPS, use these steps to connect your printer to your wireless network with the WPS button on the router.
-
Turn on the printer.
-
Locate the WPS button on your router, but do not press it yet.
If your router does not support WPS, skip to the next step to connect the printer with the HP Smart app.
-
On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button
and Power button
at the same time for 5 seconds.
-
On the router, press and hold the WPS button for 3 to 5 seconds or until it shows that the WPS connection process has started.
NOTE:
The printer stops searching for a WPS connection two minutes after the wireless button is pressed. If you were unable to press the WPS button within that timeframe, attempt these steps again.
Once the printer connects to the wireless network, the blue Wireless light on the control panel turns on solid.
-
Open the HP Smart app, and then click Add Printer or Plus sign
.
HP Smart searches for printers in wireless setup mode or printers that are already on your wireless network.
-
Select your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
After successful setup, you can now print, scan, or manage printer preferences, messages, and supplies in HP Smart app.
