HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer
macOS 15.0 Sequoia

Similar to other postings on this topic.  HP app recognizes initially Officejet 8025e on the network (remotely) but then Enable Local Network issue window pops up.  Click on Enable on Local Network > opens System Settings > HP app is "enabled" (toggled on).  Have tried deleting HP app, reloading, etc.  Nothing seems to work to access this printer remotely now with HP App.   ???

Hi @jonrwc,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When dealing with the "Enable Local Network" issue with the HP app on a Mac, there are a few steps you can try that may resolve the problem:

Uninstall and Reinstall the HP App:

Check Network Permissions:

  • Go to System Preferences or System Settings on your Mac.
  • Navigate to "Security & Privacy" or "Privacy" settings.
  • Verify if the HP app has permission to access your network. Toggle it off and then on again.

Restart Network Devices:

  • Restart your router and your Mac to ensure all network devices reset their connections.

Check Software and Updates:

Network Connection Settings:

  • Make sure your printer, Mac, and router are on the same network. Avoid connecting to guest networks.
  • Try temporarily disabling any firewall or security applications that may be interrupting network communications.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
