Hi @Dpalmer3,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to change the Wi-Fi network on your HP DeskJet 2622, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Printer's Control Panel (Wireless Setup Wizard) Using the Setup Wizard from the control panel

  1. Turn on the printer: Make sure the HP DeskJet 2622 is powered on.
  2. Press the Wireless Button: On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button (it looks like a radio signal icon) until the Power light blinks and the wireless light starts flashing.
  3. Press the "Information" button: This will print out a report with your printer’s network details. You might need this information later.
  4. Access the Wireless Setup Wizard:
    • Press the Wireless button again.
    • Press the "Start Copy Black" button to begin the setup process.
    • Your printer will search for available networks and display a list.
  5. Select your network: Use the arrow buttons to select your Wi-Fi network name (SSID), then press OK.
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi password: Use the printer’s control panel to type in your network's password. If needed, refer to the printed report for help with entering your password.
  7. Confirm and wait for connection: Once you've entered the password, confirm, and the printer will try to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. If successful, the wireless light will stop flashing and stay on solid.

Method 2: Using the HP Smart App (For Windows or Mac) HP printer setup (HP Smart app)

  1. Install HP Smart: If you haven’t already, download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Open HP Smart: Launch the app and make sure your printer is connected to the computer via USB or that you’ve already connected it to Wi-Fi.
  3. Add Printer: If it’s your first time adding the printer, click Add Printer and follow the prompts to select your printer from the available devices.
  4. Change Wi-Fi Settings:
    • Click on the printer icon in the HP Smart app.
    • Go to Printer Settings and select Wireless Settings.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your new Wi-Fi network and enter your password.

Method 3: Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) (If Your Router Supports WPS) Connect an HP printer using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

  1. Press the WPS Button on Your Router: Press and hold the WPS button on your router for 3-5 seconds.
  2. Press the Wireless Button on the Printer: On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds, then release it. The wireless light will blink.
  3. Wait for the Connection: The printer will automatically connect to your Wi-Fi network if it supports WPS. The wireless light will become solid once connected.
