Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Hi,

I'm trying to use this functionality in  my HP Tango connected to by Wifi 2.4 Ghz network - send an email to my printer's email, and get a .pdf printed. Simple, supposedly.

Problem is, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And when it does, it takes at least 5-10 minutes before the printer receives the job. Other times, it takes like 1 hour, and then all my email jobs get printed at the same time.

After a ton of different configurations, resetting and whatsoever, I'm starting to suspect it may be related to port forwarding?

I've opened TCP/UPD for the 8080, 443,5222,5223,3702 and 427, but problem remains.

ePrint is a "take what you get" kind of service.

Assuming the PDF file meets the requirements, the problem is not likely "fixable" on your side.

What?

There is no way to force preference for your jobs - everyone gets into the queue.

Long queue = slower results

Short queue = faster results

If all the servers are not "working as expected" - someone (or something) must service / replace that server.

If the network falters, someone (or something) has to attend to that issue.

If there are just too many jobs, the service slows down.

For those reading:

ePrint - more recently called / configured as "Print Anywhere" - is a free service that adds an email address to a supported Internet connected printer.

Email that meets certain criteria can be sent directly to that printer.

ePrint is free, wonderful, overused, and considered indispensable to those who use it.
