E6 is general printer error.  Anything from using counterfeit ink to whatever

General troubleshooting is here

 

Access the printers embedded web page and see if more info is available.

 

Let me know what you find.

Unfortunately this wasn't helpful. I tried everything and bought a new printer in the end. Good luck to everybody with the same issue!
