Hello,

My HP laserjet 1606dn uses an eternet cable to connect the printer to the router. Lately, when i try to print from my laptop, the network connection status shows attention required on the "devices and manager" screen ( as shown in my attachment) while on the print page it shows "User intervention". when i turn off my wi-fi or the printer  and turn back up the connection comes back and prints, then goes back to the attention required again. Please can someone help me? I have tried troubleshooting and even used the HP print and scan, but nothing is working.printer.PNG

Hi,

Try expending the 'Resolve an offline printer (Windows)' section and  follow steps 4 and 5 (Create a manual IP connection (wireless only) & Create a TCP/IP Port in Windows (wireless only)) and check for any difference then:

Please let me know if that helps,

Shlomi

Hello Shlomi,
This solution didn't work. The printer is not a wireless one, i connect the printer with ethernet to the internet router, then connect laptop wirelessly to the same router which interacts with the printer through the HP software to print through the network.
