in hp support assistant in fixes & diagnostics section my printer is showing offline whereas it is online in hp smart. How to correct it please help.

Thanks for sharing the details. I understand your HP Smart Tank 585 All-in-One Printer is showing online in HP Smart but offline in HP Support Assistant, this is usually a software sync or communication issue between the two HP apps.
Steps to Fix the Offline Status in HP Support Assistant
1. Ensure Both Apps Are Up to Date
- Open HP Support Assistant and check for updates.
- Open the HP Smart App and do the same.
- Restart your PC after updating both.
2. Restart Printer and PC
- Power off your printer and unplug it for 30 seconds.
- Restart your PC.
- Power the printer back on and reconnect it to Wi-Fi.
3. Check Network Connection
- Make sure your PC and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Avoid using guest networks or VPNs.
4. Run HP Smart App
- Download and run HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
- It will automatically detect and fix communication issues between your printer and HP software.
5. Remove and Re-add Printer in HP Support Assistant
- Open HP Support Assistant.
- Go to My Devices > Printer > Settings.
- Remove the printer and re-add it manually.
6. Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart
- Open HP Smart App.
- Click the wrench icon (bottom left) > Diagnose & Fix.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to resolve any hidden issues
