Fell for HP support scam. When they said they could fix my connection problem with a non-HP product, I finally realized I had been had. IMG_0310.pngSee attached picture. EV Globalt.com isn’t’t real, and I hope changing all my passwords will rectify the breach. I foolishly allowed a download so they could “find my problem.”

Stay safe.

Well, at least you wiggled free.

There are SO many scam sites on the internet.

Some of the worst might even come up first due to the way search engines might prioritize results.

Some support type sites are just out there trying to make a living.

We want to believe that.

Do report what happened to the authorities --

If you gave out any personal information (for example, banking), call your bank.

Run a security scan with your own security software or Windows Defender.

Your computer is not full of bugs and you do not need to pay a fee for driver support.

Pay attention to where you are going.
