HP8620
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I have been using this HP8620 for years.  Suddenly it can’t find my SSID.  I haven’t made any changes to my wifi network recently and all my other wireless devices connect to my network fine.

Weirder still is when I run the wireless setup wizard on my HP, it can see all the other SSIDs in the area, just not my SSID that it’s been using this whole time.

I did a factory reset, no luck.

Any ideas out there?

How far is the printer located from your router? if it is far away move it closer to your router and check.

What router do you have? may it a dual-band router?

The printer supports 2.4GHz wireless operation only, so I suggest checking your router too that it broadcast a 2.4GHz wireless band and not 5GHZ band only is broadcasted by any chance, as such will not be seen by the printer while it will be listed on other devices which supports 5GHz.

Thanks for the reply.  I checked my access point (Netgear Orbi ) and it does have the 2.4 GHz network active (with other devices on it).  And the signal strength is solid.

I just tried the protected setup (I typically just manually select SSID and enter password) but no luck.

the only thing I can think of is since the printer can see my neighbor’s networks, maybe something happened to my wifi network (auto update?) that is now making it invisible to my printer.
