Hi @James15_,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When your HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2604sdw printer struggles to connect to a wireless network after a Wi-Fi code change, it's essential to ensure that the Wi-Fi setup mode is restored correctly. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode

Prepare the Printer:

  • Press the Cancel button to ready the printer for Wi-Fi setup mode.

Restore Network Settings:

  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Information button for five seconds until the control panel buttons light up.

Activate Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button simultaneously. This will enable the Wi-Fi setup mode.

Confirm Wireless Signal:

  • Wait until the Wireless light blinks blue continuously. This indicates that the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode and ready to connect to a new network.

Reconnect the Printer to the Network:

  • Within two hours, return to the HP Smart app on your device.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to find and reconnect your printer with the updated Wi-Fi settings.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
