Hi @thekinc,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues connecting your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-In-One Printer to your Wi-Fi network wirelessly, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Check Wi-Fi Signal and Range: Make sure your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi router and that the Wi-Fi signal is strong enough for the printer to connect. Sometimes, moving the printer closer to the router can help establish a better connection.

Restart Printer and Router: Turn off your printer and Wi-Fi router, then turn them back on after a few seconds. This can sometimes help refresh the connection.

Printer's Wireless Settings: Access your printer's settings or control panel and navigate to the wireless setup section. Make sure the printer is set to connect to the correct Wi-Fi network. If you're not sure, you may need to reset the printer's wireless settings and go through the setup process again.

Network Name and Password: Double-check the name (SSID) of your Wi-Fi network and ensure you're entering the correct Wi-Fi password when prompted during the setup process.

Printer Firmware Update: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the printer's firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve overall performance.

Router Settings: Some routers have advanced security settings that could potentially block or interfere with the printer's connection. Check your router's settings to ensure that it's not blocking the printer's access.

Wireless Encryption Type: Ensure that your printer and router are using the same wireless encryption type (e.g., WPA2) to establish a secure connection.

Firewall and Antivirus Software: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer that might be blocking the printer's connection. Remember to re-enable them after troubleshooting.

Temporary Connection via USB: If all else fails, you can temporarily connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. This can help you complete any necessary printer setup or firmware updates that might be causing the wireless connection issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
