Do you know of ORLATEROLE.ORG or AG-IT? Are they legit. HP support could not help me get printer connected after changing network provider to Spectrum. So I went to ORLATEROLE.ORG website and spoke with 3 agents there, who actually gave me a lot of good info. But they asked for $299.99 for lifetime protection through SonicWall. Said there wouldn't be an app installed on my computer; they would monitor it from their offices. (?). I don't want to pay until I know they are a legitimate company. Can you please help me (a novice) out? Appreciate any advice/knowledge you can provide.
Thank you!

Welcome to the HP Community --
You are not completely scammed until you give the people your private information and your money.
If you let someone into your computer that you do not know, you might have other problems besides buying a sneaky monitoring service you do not need.
The idea that these people would be monitoring your equipment is something you do NOT want to sign into lightly.
Once given away, your private information is never private again.
The Company might keep an eye on what you do, what you purchase, what you use -- and then jump in and offer "help".
They will exploit you until you make them stop.
Sounds like a scam -- walk away, run away.
If you gave them access to your computer or other device(s), change all your passwords.
If they took your money, contact your bank.
If you are concerned, scared, or need another viewpoint, talk to a friend, colleague, community leader, or family member.
If the rascals threaten you, contact the police.

Beware of Fake Sites
The "Real Deal"
123.hp.com - Printer setup from the HP® Official site
The official HP 123 site is where you can find the appropriate (and free) software and drivers for your printer.
There are many “fake” sites listed (in search engines) for “123” – please make sure you are using the actual “HP” site.
If you are asked for money to correct "issues" on your printer or computer OR if the “help” wants to log into your computer, you are using a “fake” site. Do not give these people your information!
