Hi @Vince63723,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you just want a simple way to connect your printer to Wi-Fi and keep it connected. Here’s a clear step-by-step guide:

1. Turn on Your Printer

Make sure the printer is powered on and near your Wi-Fi router.

2. Reset Printer’s Network Settings (Optional but Recommended)

Press and hold the Wireless button (or Cancel + Wireless depending on the model) for 5–10 seconds until lights blink.

This clears old Wi-Fi settings so you can start fresh.

3. Connect via Wi-Fi Button / WPS (Easy Method)

If your router supports WPS:

Press the Wireless button on the printer until it starts blinking.

Press the WPS button on your router within 2 minutes.

Wait for the printer’s wireless light to turn solid — it’s now connected.

4. Connect via HP Smart App (Universal Method)

Install HP Smart on your phone or PC.

Open the app → Add Printer → Set up a New Printer.

Follow the on-screen steps to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

Once connected, the printer should remain on the same network.

5. Keep the Printer Connected

Do not change your Wi-Fi network name or password.

Keep the printer powered on or in sleep mode; turning it off for long periods may require reconnecting.

Avoid placing it too far from the router.

I hope this helps.
