Welcome to the HP English Community --
There is no such setting "Never again print 2-sided".
One thing to do is to set the Default Print Options
You might be able adjust this setting using the Printer Control Panel -
OR
Default Print Options is available using the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Next,
Alert the printer to the paper size / type.
After changing paper -- or opening / closing the intake tray,
Select / modify the paper size / type using the Printer Control Panel
OR
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / adjust the paper size / type - Tray and Paper
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure
Next (as available)
Section Print > Default Print Options > Select default options / tray

Depending on your Device (computer, tablet, phone) and its Operating System / version, it is possible to make it less likely you'll run across the duplex setting.

Set Printing Preferences Shortcut to "General Everyday Printing" (or similar) and leave that Shortcut selected after you "apply" the selection.

Set Printer Properties for "all jobs" default to that same Shortcut
