Hi @Mark-W-13,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To change your HP DeskJet 2700 printer’s network name to match your wireless router's network name, you need to reconnect the printer to the new network. Follow these steps:

For printers with a touch screen control panel:

  1. Open the Setup, Network, or Wireless settings menu:
    • Navigate to Wireless Setup Wizard.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select the new network name (SSID).
    • Enter the new network password.

For printers without a touch screen control panel:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for five seconds, or until the wireless light starts blinking.
  2. Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on your router until the connection process starts.
  3. Wait for the connection to complete. The wireless light on your printer should stop blinking and stay solid.

For additional detailed steps:

Install the HP Smart app:

  • Go to 123.hp.com to download the HP Smart app for your device (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, iPadOS).

Follow the app instructions:

  • Open the app, select your printer, and follow the guided setup process to connect it to the new network.
