Hi @Kathy22503,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how confusing this can be, especially after changing internet providers and needing to update your HP DeskJet 2700 series printer’s Wi-Fi password. The printer doesn’t have a direct option to “change password”; instead, you need to reconnect it to the network using the new credentials.

Recommended Steps

1. Reset Network Settings

  • With the printer powered on, press and hold:
    • Wireless button + cancel button together for 5 seconds.
  • The blue wireless light should blink fast. This means the printer is in setup mode.

2. Use HP App

3. If Printer Doesn’t Show

  • Restart your router and printer.
  • Ensure your device is on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (HP DeskJet 2700 series does not support 5 GHz).
  • Temporarily disable VPN or firewall.

4. Alternative: WPS Button

  • If your router supports WPS:
    • Press the WPS button on your router.
    • Within 2 minutes, press the Wireless button on the printer.
  • The blue light will turn solid when connected.

5. Update Firmware

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
