@Rick1433, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Your HP Printer to a New WiFi Router!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you've recently changed your WiFi router and need to reconnect your HP printer to the new network, follow these steps based on your printer model:

For Printers with a Touchscreen Control Panel:

Open Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup, Network, or Wireless settings.
  • Select "Wireless Setup Wizard."

Select the New Network:

  • The wizard will list the available networks. Select your new WiFi network from the list.

Enter the Password:

  • Enter the new WiFi password (network key) to connect your printer to the network.

For Printers without a Touchscreen Control Panel:

Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on your printer for about five seconds, or until the wireless light starts to blink.
  • Press the WPS button on your router within two minutes. The connection process will begin automatically.

HP Smart App Setup:

  • Download and open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Add your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to the new WiFi network.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
