I can finally print.

 

I can't scan yet. The video went through Scan to cloud => HP Cloud not set up and the instructions don't work for me

Scan to email => did not ask for email

Scan to computer => the option was not there. Video asked for downloading "HP Universal Scan Software". HP does not make it easy for me. I am struggling.

 

FRUSTRATION: The features worked without a hitch with 2700 series printer, and with Envy 46.

 

Whose bright idea it is to complicate the features. Thanks. Appreciate a response to my email address, I used that to login.

To resolve your issues, let's go through the key steps to ensure all scanning functions are properly set up:

Scan with the HP Smart App

Install HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from 123.hp.com for your device (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS).

Connect the Printer:

  • Ensure the printer and your device (computer or mobile) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Scan to Email

  1. Email Setup:
    • On the printer control panel, select Scan > Scan to Email.
    • If email setup is required, follow the instructions provided in the HP Smart app or printer Embedded Web Server (EWS) to configure the email settings.

Scan to Cloud

  1. HP Account and Cloud Setup:
    • Create an HP account if you haven't done so during the initial setup.
    • On the printer control panel, tap Scan > Scan to Cloud > HP Cloud.
    • If you haven't set up an HP account or cloud shortcut, refer to the instructions provided to set these features up.

Scan to Computer

  1. Enable Scan to Computer:
    • Download and install HP Universal Scan Software, if applicable, from 123.hp.com/setup.
    • For Windows, ensure you have installed the full-feature software and driver package.
    • Open the HP Printer Assistant or HP Smart app, and ensure your printer is selected and connected via Wi-Fi.
