Hi @Sue2510,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2540 is not connecting to Wi-Fi after switching to a new fibre network. Let’s go through a few steps to set it up again.

Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

Turn the printer on.

Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel (X) buttons together for about 5 seconds.

This will restore the printer’s network settings to default.

Enable Wireless Setup Mode

Press the Wireless button until the blue light starts flashing.

The printer is now ready to be connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Use HP Smart App to Reconnect

On your phone or laptop, open the HP Smart app (download it from your device’s app store if not already installed).

Click + or Set up a new printer.

Follow the on-screen instructions — select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password when prompted.

Check the Wi-Fi Light

Once the connection is successful, the blue wireless light on the printer will stop flashing and remain steady.

Print a Wireless Network Test Report (Optional)

Press the Wireless and Information (i) buttons together.

A test page will print showing connection status and network details.

After completing these steps, your DeskJet 2540 should be successfully connected to your new Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.
