How do I unlock system admin settings for my HP6700?

HP 6700 Office Jet All-In-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've seen several posts - and they all end with "I'll send you a private message on how to do a hard unlock - so the solution isn't actually posted...  so posting again.

I swapped out my router yesterday due to some wireless settings - and now my printer isn't connected.  Trying to access the network or reset factory settings all appear to be locked (although I don't think I set it that way...).

Now I can't get it reconnected to the new network name / password.  Please help.

@rmeyer_co Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to  unlock system admin settings for my HP6700.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link

Hope this helps!
