Hi @Rogeec,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To wirelessly connect your HP DeskJet 4100e printer to your Windows 11 laptop, you can follow these steps.

Prepare the Printer

  1. Turn On the Printer: Ensure your HP DeskJet 4100e printer is turned on and in a ready state.
  2. Reset Network Settings:
    • Hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer until the Power button starts blinking. This will reset the network settings.

Connect Printer to Your Wi-Fi Network

HP App Installation:

  • Download and install the HP app from the Microsoft Store on your Windows 11 laptop.

Set Up with HP App:

  • Open the HP app and click on Add Printer or the plus (+) symbol to find your printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions: The app will guide you through connecting your printer to the wireless network. Make sure your laptop is connected to the same network.

Connect Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) (if applicable):

  • If your router supports WPS, you can press the WPS button on your router.
  • Within two minutes, press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until it starts blinking.

Install Printer Software

Use Windows Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner. Windows will search for available printers.

Select Your Printer:

  • Once your printer appears in the list, select it and follow any additional prompts to complete the installation.

Verify the Connection

  • Print a Test Page: Use the HP app or Windows printer settings to print a test page, ensuring it’s connected wirelessly.

Note:

  • Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Disable any VPNs or firewalls temporarily, as they can interfere with network connections.
  • Restart both the printer and the laptop if the devices don’t connect initially.
  • Keep the printer close to the router to ensure a strong signal.

Following these steps should help you successfully connect your printer to your Windows 11 laptop wirelessly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
