Hi @Phyllis-Troy-NY,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To cancel a print job in progress on an HP Envy 6055e or any HP printer, you can follow these steps.
Press the Cancel Button on the Printer (if available): Check if your HP Envy 6055e printer has a cancel button or a stop button. If it does, press it to stop the current print job.
Cancel from the Computer (Windows):
- On your computer, go to the Print Queue or Print Spooler. You can usually find this by searching for "Print Queue" in the Windows search bar.
- In the Print Queue window, you should see a list of all the print jobs in progress.
- Locate the print job you want to cancel, right-click on it, and select "Cancel" or "Cancel All Documents" if you want to cancel all print jobs.
- Confirm the action if prompted.
Cancel from the Computer (Mac):
- On your Mac, click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner and select "System Preferences."
- In System Preferences, click on "Printers & Scanners."
- Select your HP Envy 6055e printer from the list of printers on the left-hand side.
- Click on the "Open Print Queue" button.
- In the Print Queue window, you'll see a list of print jobs. Select the job you want to cancel and click the "X" button to cancel it.
Cancel from the HP Smart App (Mobile Devices):
- If you're printing from a mobile device using the HP Smart app, you can open the app and select the "Print Queue" or "Print Jobs" option.
- Find the print job you want to cancel and tap on it, then select the option to cancel or delete the job.
Power Off the Printer (Last Resort): If none of the above methods work, you can turn off the printer to stop the print job. Wait for a few moments, then turn it back on. The print job should be canceled.
Note that it's important to be quick in canceling a print job if you notice an issue, as once the printer starts printing a page, it may be challenging to cancel it without wasting some paper and ink.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
