1] How does one DISCONNECT or TURN OFF Wi-Fi Direct? Right now the HP Network Configuration page for Model HP Smart Tank 510 series shows the printer is ON in our home network - wireless BUT the status of the Wi-Fi Direct is also ON. Where do I go to turn OFF the Wi-Fi Direct?
2]- On the wireless network test results it shows there are TEN wireless networks detected. Is there a way to eliminate these or does it matter since they are all password protected?
Thanks, Richard

I wish I had all those buttons your OfficeJet Pro 9025 has. Unfortunately, if my Smart Tank 515 has them, I don't know where they are.
Please help me figure it out. Thanks
Yes, the OfficeJet Pro 9025 is a nice printer. I do like it.
That said, the Tank series - for all that they do not have a full control panel display - are very nice printers, too.
Yes, instructions are the same.
Press Wi-Fi Direct and the Resume button.
It's a toggle operation...

Answer - Longer Version
Open the Printer Home Page
HP Smart Tank 515 Wireless All-in-One
Select and Open Category Manuals
Find and Open the User Guide
Search for "Wi-Fi Direct"
For example, see section Wi-Fi Direct icon starting on Page 8
In that section, see instructions to switch on / off Wi-Fi Direct >> Go to Page 73
See how-to instructions on Page 73 > Section To turn Wi-Fi Direct on or off
The Wi-Fi Direct control is essentially a toggle...
When it is "on", the little Wi-Fi icon shows up in the small printer panel display with the other icons.

Welcome to the HP User Community.
1) Switch OFF Wi-Fi Direct on the printer.
It's generally a button.
Sample - OfficeJet Pro 9025 - Buttons and Controls - Panel Display
What about YOUR printer?
Which options are available and does it have a control panel display?
Open your printer's Home Page > Product Home
Open Category Manuals
Find and Open the User Guide for your printer
Buttons and display options are generally explained - and illustrated - in the first chapter.
Information
Wireless printing center > Section Printer Setup > Wi-Fi Direct
Other information for your Wireless network setup is included at the Wireless Center.

2) Password protected networks are not generally an issue. Several of these might show up when they are within the Wireless range of your network router. If you wish to do so, check your router for ways to limit what it can see.

THANK YOU very much. This is the FIRST time that someone asks or recommends to ldownload the USER MANUAL. Not once did any other "tech" mentioned "look at page xxx of the User's manual for instructions" .... not once.
You have made my day. I was ready to throw HP out the window, literally.
My problems and frustrations have been SOLVED.

You are welcome.
The user guides are often missed as a resource.
The other categories in the printer's support website are worth a quick look to see what's there, too.
Regardless, when you have a question - ask - we are few but we do try to answer what we can manage!
Happy Printing.
