I’ve recently switched to a fiber optic internet provider and I’ve not been able to change the printer to the new network. I can connect to the printer’s direct WiFi and I have HP smart app. I can’t figure out how/where to enter in the new network info.

Hi @Dennisafsrber,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To change the network on your HP LaserJet M15 printer, you need to connect it to the new WiFi network through the HP Smart app. Follow these steps:
Prepare the Printer for Network Setup:
- Ensure the printer is powered on and in a ready state.
- If the printer is already connected to a different network, reset the network settings. You can do this by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
Connect to Printer’s Wi-Fi Direct:
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, or computer), go to the Wi-Fi settings.
- Connect to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network. The network name usually starts with "HP-Setup" or "DIRECT-xx-HP".
Open HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your device. If you don’t have it installed, download it from the HP website or your device’s app store.
- Once the app is open, it should automatically detect your printer. If not, select “Add Printer” and follow the instructions to locate it.
Reconfigure Network Settings:
- In the HP Smart app, go to the printer settings or configuration section.
- Select “Network” or “Wireless Settings.”
- Choose the option to connect the printer to a new Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
Complete the Setup:
- Follow any additional prompts to complete the network setup.
- Once the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network, your device should also switch back to your regular Wi-Fi network.
Confirm the Connection:
- To verify the printer is connected to the new network, print a network configuration page. This can usually be done by pressing and holding the Information button (i) on the printer for a few seconds until the page prints.
- Check the network settings on the printed page to ensure the correct network name is listed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
