Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

The password on my network recently changed and now my HP 3752 will not print because the report shows wireless is turned on but not connected to a network .

I have tried using the hp app to find the printer but it can't find it. The wireless bars are strong showing on the printer.

How can I change the original password on my network to the new password on this printer.

Thank you in advance

Hi @iden135

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for the clear explanation. It’s frustrating when a simple password change causes such a disruption, especially when the printer shows strong wireless signal but won’t connect.

Let’s walk through how to update the Wi-Fi password on your HP DeskJet 3752 so it can reconnect smoothly.

Option 1: Use HP App with Wi-Fi Setup Mode

Since the printer isn’t currently connected, we’ll need to reconfigure it using Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

Step 1: Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the printer

This enables the printer to broadcast its own setup network so the HP App can find it:

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for about 5 seconds until the Power light blinks.
  3. Wait for the Wireless light to start blinking—this confirms the printer is in setup mode.

Step 2: Reconnect using the HP App

  1. Open the HP App on your phone or PC.
  2. Tap Add Printer or Set Up a New Printer.
  3. Select your HP DeskJet 3752 when it appears.
  4. Follow the prompts to enter your new Wi-Fi password and complete the setup.

If the app still doesn’t detect the printer, temporarily connect your phone or PC to the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct network (e.g., HP-Setup-3752-xxxx) from your Wi-Fi settings, then return to the HP App.

Option 2: Use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) if your router supports it

If your router has a WPS button, this is a quick alternative:

  1. On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
  3. Wait for the Wireless light to stop blinking and stay solid—this means the connection is successful.

Once connected, print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer to confirm the connection:

  • Press the Wireless and Information buttons together to print the report.

Let’s get your printer back online—once it’s reconnected, it should resume printing without delay. If anything remains unclear, I’ll guide you further.
