Hi @snhipp,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To change the Wi-Fi network on your HP4100 printer, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Printer Control Panel

  1. Turn on the Printer: Make sure your printer is powered on.
  2. Access the Wireless Settings:
    • On the printer control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings menu. This is typically represented by a Wi-Fi icon.
  3. Select Wireless Setup Wizard:
    • In the Wireless or Network menu, select the Wireless Setup Wizard. This will guide you through the process of connecting to a new Wi-Fi network.
  4. Choose Your New Network:
    • The printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list.
  5. Enter Network Password:
    • If prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password for the new network.
  6. Confirm Connection:
    • Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the setup. Once connected, your printer should be on the new Wi-Fi network.

Method 2: Using the HP App

  1. Download HP App:
    • If you don't have it already, download the HP App from the HP website or your device's app store (available for both Android and iOS).
  2. Open the HP App:
    • Launch the app and make sure your printer is turned on and within range of your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Add Your Printer:
    • If your printer is not already added, tap the plus sign (+) to add your printer. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to the app.
  4. Access Network Settings:
    • Once your printer is added, tap on the printer icon or image to access its settings.
  5. Change Network:
    • Look for a section called Network Settings or Wireless Settings and select it.
  6. Choose Wi-Fi Setup:
    • Select Wi-Fi Setup or Change Network. The app will guide you through connecting your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
  7. Enter New Network Details:
    • Choose your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password when prompted.
  8. Complete Setup:
    • Follow the remaining instructions to finish the setup. Your printer should now be connected to the new Wi-Fi network.

Method 3: Using WPS (Wi-Fi)Prepare the Printer:

  • Make sure your printer is turned on and the Wi-Fi feature is enabled.
  1. Initiate WPS on Printer:
    • On the printer control panel, navigate to the Wireless menu and select Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). Choose the Push Button option.
  2. Press WPS Button on Router:
    • Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router. The WPS button is usually found on the back or side of the router.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
