How to connect networks from printer to desktop

My printer is not on the same network as my computer

Hard to offer help unless you provide more details. Do you have two separate Wi-Fi networks? What wired LAN are the Wi-Fi access point(s) connected to?  Usually it looks like this:

[INTERNET] <-- Router --> [LAN] <-- Wi-Fi Access Point --> [Wi-Fi Network] <-- Printer
