How to delete a printer

I installed a new wifi device and need to connect it but I have tried everything with no luck. I've spent over 2 hours at this point. I can't even delete the printer. I've tried HP Smart app and online. It shows not connected. Get connectivity help. I've tried all of the including YT videos, etc.

Help please.

What's the printer model? Depending on the model, we can use do a wireless reset on the printer and use HP App to setup and connect printer to the network. The wireless reset (and even setup) can be done on printers with a Control panel.

When there is an Internet Service Provider | Router change | password change (for the network) or when moving to a new location, a wireless reset is needed for the printer with a re-setup using the HP app to get the printer connected to the network again.

Here's some examples on how to reset the wireless to defaults (different printers have different steps):

It does a reset however nowhere does it allow me to connect the printer to the "new" wifi router that I put in services.

If I connect this printer to my MacBook Pro computer I can print with it. However, I can't find anyway to connect this printer to my new wifi. I've tried everything, included using the Wireless Button. Any other option?

Can you try the WiFi Direct method to connect printer to the network?

Please reset the wireless to defaults before trying this method.

To do the wifi direct it is requiring a password. I don't have one. I don't think I ever used one. Is there any way to find it?

Hi Chuck,

Here's the steps to get the WiFi Direct info on the printer:

1. Press"i" (information) button for 3 seconds until all the buttons are lit, then press the "i" (information) button) and "Resume" button (down arrow) at the same time and release.

2. WiFi Direct info page will be printed.  The WiFi Direct info can be found under "iOS, macOS and Microsoft Windows" heading.

Thanks for the help but I think this is not going to work. I tried your latest answer. When I hold the "i" button for 3 seconds and the only button that lights is the X button and it prints the Printer Information Report. All buttons but the Resume (down arrow) button light up. I've got several of the report pages. Just wasting ink now.

Actually, the Wifi Direct Password is printed on the Information page.

I'm right next to the wifi router. 

Neither work.
