HP Color Laser 150nw

Hi,

Is there a way to get my HP Color Laser 150nw to have a static IP over network (ethernet).

Thanks,

Sure - maybe.

The user manual is a bit short on details but it does indicate the printer, at least when connected to a network, can use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) check (and perhaps adjust) certain settings and features on the printer.

User Guide - HP Color Laser 150nw

Notes

  • The following example is for an Office Pro (Ink Jet) Printer.
  • The Settings / Network and other features in EWS might be similar to those found in your printer -- or vastly different.
  • The sample will perhaps give you a place to start to check whether what you want to do is possible.

The iPV4 configuration in EWS is the same for both Wired (Ethernet) and Wireless.

Assign the IP address for the printer in the router, too.

See your router handbook / user manual for how to assign a static / manual IP address to your device(s).

EWS > HP Document / How-to

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Ethernet

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Network > Wired (802.3) > IPv4 Configuration

Wireless

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration

As Available:

Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced

Network Interface on / off, Network SSID name, Security Settings, Passphrase / Password

Select and connect to the correct SSID / network name for the bandwidth you are using.

Note:   It is not mandatory that you use a manual / static IP address.  Doing so can improve stability.
