@Cunumicita, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you’d like to remove the currently connected Wi-Fi network from your HP Inkjet (Deskjet) 2800 series printer. Here’s how you can do that:
Restore Network Settings to Default (Recommended)
This will erase the current Wi-Fi settings from the printer:
- Turn on the printer, if it’s not already on.
- Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button (❌) together for about 5 seconds.
- Wait until the Power light blinks, this indicates the network settings have been restored to factory defaults.
- The printer will now disconnect from the Wi-Fi network and will no longer be connected to any wireless network.
Remove from HP Smart App (if needed)
If you’ve also added the printer in the HP Smart app, you can remove it from there:
- Open the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 PC.
- Click on your printer > Printer Settings.
- Scroll down and select Advanced Settings > opens Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- Navigate to Network > Wireless (802.11) > Remove or Disable Wireless Network (if available).
- Or simply remove the printer from the app:
- Click the printer image on the home screen, then click Remove Printer or Forget Printer.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
