HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot change any settings in "HP6830_Full_Webpack-33.3.81_1-Full_Webpack", HP Easy Start, HP Print & Scan Doctor, or on the printer display panel or reset to factory default.  I get a message that basically says the functions have been locked by the administrator.  But I am the administrator!  Recently we changed our internet service provider.  At first I could connect to the printer using the USB port, but after making the changes, it could not be seen on the internet by my computer - despite having a valid IP address, and correct router info.  I could get to it via the Wireless Direct" option, and tried to re-configure it with the router info there,  It said to reboot the printer if I lost connection after the settings were changed.  So I reboot it, and now it won't connect to the internet at all, the blue light is off, and it won't show up as  Wireless Direct option.  All my usual ways of connecting don't seem to work now, I seem to be completely locked out of it.

I need to reset this printer back to factory defaults, but all the posts in this forum for same/similar issues indicate that these instructions are not publicly posted -- instead they are only sent by private message individually to anyone who requests them.  (As the support responses all state: "The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.")

So please = send me the instructions to set my HP 6830 Printer (SN: [Personal Information Removed]) back to factory defaults.

Thanks.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
