Hi @kovina

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for your patience—let’s get your printer back in action. That amber Web Services light often means the printer is having trouble reaching HP’s cloud services. Here’s a step-by-step guide to clear the amber light and get printing again:

1. Restart the printer and router

  • Power off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Turn off your Wi-Fi router and wait 30 seconds.
  • Plug in the printer and turn it on.
  • Restart the router and wait until it’s fully online.
  • Wait 2–3 minutes, then check the Web Services light again.

2. Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi

  • On the printer control panel, go to Wireless Settings or Network Setup.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to reconnect to your Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure the signal is strong—move the printer closer to the router if needed.

3. Turn Web Services off and back on

  • On the printer’s display, tap the Web Services icon or go to Settings > Web Services.
  • Select Remove Web Services or Turn Off.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then select Turn On Web Services.
  • Follow the prompts to enable it again. This refreshes the connection to HP’s cloud.

You can also do this from the Embedded Web Server (EWS) if your printer supports it:

  • Find your printer’s IP address from the control panel.
  • Open a browser on your PC and enter the IP address.
  • Go to the Web Services tab and disable, then re-enable it.

4. Check for firmware updates

  • On the printer, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.
  • Select Check for Updates and install if available.

5. Reinstall the printer in the HP App

  • Open the HP App on your Windows PC.
  • Remove the printer from the app.
  • Click Add Printer and follow the steps to reconnect it.

6. Still not printing? Try Diagnose & Fix

  • Open the HP App on your PC.
  • Select your printer, then click Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Let the tool run and follow any prompts.

Here’s the official HP guide for Web Services connection issues:

Let me know how the light behaves after these steps or if the printer starts responding again. We’ll keep going until it’s working smoothly.
