Hi @Sandy3549,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Changing the IP address on your HP DeskJet printer can help resolve network conflicts or connectivity issues. Here’s how you can do it step by step:

Option 1: From Printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  1. Find the Printer’s IP Address:
    • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer’s control panel (usually under Setup → Reports → Network Configuration).
    • Note the current IP address.

  2. Access EWS:
    • On your PC, open a browser and type the printer’s IP address in the address bar.
    • Press Enter, and you’ll see the printer’s web interface.

  3. Change IP Settings:
    • Go to Network → IPv4 Settings.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter the new IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
    • Click Apply.

Option 2: Using HP App

  • Open the HP App on your PC or mobile.
  • Go to Advanced Settings → This opens the EWS page.
  • Follow the same steps as above.

Option 3: From Printer Control Panel

  • Some DeskJet models allow manual IP configuration:
    • Navigate to Setup → Network Settings → Advanced Settings → IP Settings.
    • Switch from Automatic to Manual and enter the new IP.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Use an IP address within your router’s range (e.g., 192.168.x.x).
  • Avoid conflicts by choosing an unused IP.
  • Restart the printer after applying changes.
